33. Multiple moustache - bokeh

33. Multiple moustache - bokeh*

I put a cap with a moustache-shaped hole in it over my camera lens, and aimed it at some holiday lights. This is the result. I'm hoping to try it again in different situations, and see if anything exciting comes of it.

I learned about this technique (*and the controversy surrounding what to call it - some think it's more of a vignette) here:

31. Profile picture...
A month of moustaches! Hurrah!
To celebrate, I've joined Facebook and Twitter, and made a mustachioed profile pic.

30. Lightwriting

30. Lightwriting

If you have a camera that allows you to keep the shutter open for a few seconds, a dark room, and a moveable light source, you can make an image by drawing in the air with the light. I set my camera up on a tripod, and used a little battery operated tea light to draw. You can see a skeletal trace of my hand clutching the light in the second photo.

29. Rubber Stamp

29. Rubber stamp

I cut the stamp shape out of a piece of craft foam that had a sticky backing, and mounted it on a bit of scrap wood. The foam was very easy to work with. I was able to get some lines to show up by scratching the surface of the stamp with a pencil.

With apologies to NASA, from which I grabbed the original image.

Note: Today's moustache was inspired by planets and burritos:

25. Super spork-stache!

It's a spoon! It's a fork! As if that weren't enough, it folds! And, if you have two, it makes a handy moustache!

23. Power outlet

I think I see four faces, each with a toothbrush moustache.
One looks surprised, one has a mohawk or a little hat...

BONUS: Presidential Moustache Roundup

BONUS:
(Post) Presidents Day Presidential Moustache Roundup:
Monday is over, and I'm just now getting to this, but -- here it is...
The following US presidents wore moustaches:

# 21: Chester Arthur (1881-85)

#22, #24: Grover Cleveland (1885-89, 1893-97)

#26: Theodore Roosevelt (1901-1909

#27: William Howard Taft (1909-1913)

Some, of course, wore beards as well. I'll save them for next year.
note: these images are in the public domain in the United States (published before 1923)

15. Moostache

15. Moostache.
Need I say more?

I cut this from a roll of electrical tape, which is also an easy way to make a finger moustache without trying to draw one on yourself upside down. I think I see two moustache-shaped spots on this side.
