84. Moustache-on-a-stick
84. Moustache-on-a-stick
I have seen a lot of these going around (some even made of tasty-looking chocolate), and put my own together using a popsicle stick, some painter's tape and a cut-out moustache. Non-edible, alas, but so easy!

82. Guitar bridge moustache
82. Guitar bridge
It was a Monday.
Like this guitar, I've seen better days. I didn't get much done, but it was sunny, and I did find my moustache of the day...
Not all guitar bridges are this ornate, and this one boasts seven strings as well.
It was made, it seems, at the same factory as the mandolin, only in Leningrad rather than Petersburg ;).
Hammer, sickle, and lyre.

80. Earth Day moustache
80. Earth Day moustache
For earth day, a moustachified map of the world...
It's based on this "butterfly map":
I'm much more convinced of the butterfly shape than the moustache, but it was an honest attempt.

77. Multi-tool multistache
77. Multi-tool multistache
Another way to make sure you have the right tool on hand at all times.
I see two moustaches in one here:
In fact, I see a whole face in the middle, like this:
The long moustache reminds me of Yosemite Sam, which is why I made him a redhead.

75. Binder clip moustache (another day at the office)
If there was ever a moustache style called the x-wing, it would look something like this:
... and here's a slightly abstract, but balanced moustache for good measure.

74. Moustache cookie cutters
74. Moustache cookie cutters
I realize that people sell moustache-shaped cookie cutters, but I wanted some that weren't so.... well, cookie-cutter.
I've been thinking about this for a while. I read tutorials about making custom cookie cutters from hardware-store sheet metal. I happen to have some of that on hand, but who knows if it's food safe?
I looked for cheap cookie cutters to turn into moustaches, but those are all coated in some shiny, glossy, colorful stuff - and who knows if that's actually food safe, especially after being bent, pliered, twisted, and cajoled into moustacheness.
I finally found some ordinary metal cookie cutters. I used a tulip and a bell to make these:
... and a circle to make this one:
It's surprisingly hard to find a circular cookie cutter these days. I tried not to work too hard against the original shape, so the flower and bell still look a little flowery and bellish to me.
I'm looking forward to using them -- results to follow!

72. Rocket 'stache
72. Rocket 'stache
So, the other day was the 51st anniversary Yuri Gagarin's first venture into space (i.e. Yuri's night). I've been thinking about rockets since then, and didn't have much time today, so put together these (open) clip art rockets in a couple of moustachey shapes.

Bonus - A pointed moustache
That last, needlenose moustache reminds me of another pointy moustache of historic import: Napoleon III.
Impressive.

65. Moss-stache
65. Moss-stache
Portland has more than enough moss to go around, and I've been thinking about this one for a while (moss-stache - a pun too good to resist!). I spotted the half-moustache shape on the left on top of a cement wall, and added some loose moss clumps to the right side to make a full moustache. Not quite a masterpiece of moss graffiti (amazing stuff, but I'm not sure I'm ready to risk getting in trouble for unauthorized use of the household blender), but a lot of fun.
